Extra Curricular Activities @ Alva Academy
All students are encouraged to participate in extra curricular activities. We have come to believe that these activities are an essential part of school life.
There are a wide range of clubs and activities available within and around the school for all our students.
If you run, or are part of a group associated with the school, please let us know and we'll create a web page for your activity!
- Football (please click on link to be taken to football page) U13, U14, U15 and Senior age groups - matches rotate between Mon - Thurs. Soccer 1, Soccer 2 and Girls training on a Thursday 3.15pm - 4.15pm.
- Rugby - Senior Boys and Girls Rugby is held on a Tuesday 3.10pm - 4.30pm. Senior Boys only is also held on a Thursday 1.00pm to 1.20pm. Junior Rugby is on Tuesday at Lunchtime 12.45pm to 1.15pm.
- Dance Club - Wednesday 3.15pm to 4pm with Miss Ure and Miss Lake. Advanced Class runs also on a Wednesday from 4.00pm to 4.30pm, Mr Ferguson is also involved in this class.
- Hockey Club - S1 - S6 pupils (male and female) Monday after school.
- Junior Badminton - Tuesday after school. S1-S2 run by Miss Nicol and S3 - S6 run by Mr Young.
- Fun and Fashion Club - run by Mrs Bone on Monday lunchtimes in the General Classroom from 1.00pm.
